Resumen:

La propuesta filosófica de Eugenio Trías restaura la vocación metafísica y el afán sistemático de la tradición europea. El resultado es un magno edificio conceptual presidido por la noción de límite, instancia de separación y enlace entre el mundo y la trascendencia. En este trabajo se emprende, desde la filosofía del límite, un breve análisis de la relación entre música y filosofía cuya representación del límite apunta al concepto de “símbolo”. Se propone justificar la naturaleza significativa y cognoscitiva de la creación artística como la actividad que encarna el ser fronterizo y cuya materia a menudo ofrece resistencia al trabajo categorial.

Abstract:

Eugenio Trías’ philosophical approach restores the metaphysical vocation and the systematic effort of European tradition. The result is a vast conceptual building dominated by the notion of limit, as an instance of separation and link between the world and the transcendence. In this paper undertakes, from the philosophy of the limit, a brief analysis of the relationship between music and philosophy whose representation of the limit points to the concept of “symbol”. It aims to justify the significant and cognitive nature of the artistic creation as the activity that embodies the frontier being, and whose matter often resists categorial treatment.
