Resumen:

Al menos desde finales del siglo XIX, el análisis de la identidad cultural de Iberoamérica ha sido una constante en su pensamiento filosófico. En ese contexto, la filosofía cultural del venezolano José Manuel Briceño Guerrero nos ayuda a desentrañar sus claves identitarias a partir del mestizaje de los que a su juicio son, los tres grandes discursos que gobiernan el pensamiento americano. El resultado, es una filosofía cultural crítica y autoconsciente, la cual desde Iberoamérica, realiza una lectura del pasado colonial, y sobre todo postcolonial, con la mirada puesta en un futuro universal compartido desde el mestizaje laberíntico y enriquecedor de América.

Abstract:

The analysis of cultural identity of Latin America has been a constant theme in its philosophical thought. The cultural philosophy of the Venezuelan José M. Briceño Guerrero help us to puzzle out the identity keys of this context. They are the result of a combination of the three great discourses that Briceño believes as a guide of the Latin American thought. It has resulted in a cultural philosophy critical and aware of itself that realices a reading of the colonial –and overall postcolonial– past from the Latin American approach but in the same time with the look into an universal future wich springs from the labyrinthine and enriching crossbreeding from America.
